Board members:
Our three-member Board includes a serial entrepreneur and business strategist with MBA degrees from Columbia Business School and London Business School (Wendy W. Hong, Founder and CEO), Senior Vice President of a well-respected hedge fund, with 18 years of IT experience (Stephen R. Payne), and a seasoned marketing professional with both for- (W Hotels) and non-profit (Brooklyn Public Library) experience (Lillian Wang).

Wendy W. Hong
In addition to her two MBAs, Wendy holds a BA in Political Science and French (Columbia University) and another in English Literature (Baruch College, CUNY). Her 17 years of work experience spans the banking, consulting, journalism, non-profit, publishing, social-networking, sports and travel sectors. She has lived and worked in seven countries across four continents and has a working knowledge of Chinese, French, Italian and Spanish. In addition, she has a keen interest in human behavioral studies, psychology and the sciences in general.

Stephen R. Payne
Stephen relocated from the UK to the US eleven years ago, after obtaining a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cambridge University. He is an amateur photographer and has a general interest in psychology and science.

Lillian Wang
Lillian is a PR professional with an MS in Marketing from Baruch College. Previously, she lived in Milan while taking graduate courses in International Health Care Management at Bocconi University. She also holds a BBA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Baruch College. Lillian is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and knows basic Italian and Spanish.

Advisory committee:
Our Advisory Committee consists of a behavior change communication specialist with tenure at the UN and USAID (Javed S. Ahmad), a serial entrepreneur and oil-and-gas expert (Seyi Ajibola), an e-business strategy and customer experience specialist who consulted extensively at Citigroup and IBM (Ronit Leora), the Founder and President of Genocide Watch (Gregory H. Stanton), who is a direct descendant of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, women's suffrage activist, and Henry Brewster Stanton, anti-slavery leader, and the Founder and Executive Director of Artfully AWARE (Hilary Wallis), a fine art painter who uses the power of the arts to visually educate the public and generate awareness of societal issues focused around community development and social activism.

Javed S. Ahmad
Aside from over 42 years of experience in the public health sector, with organizations such as the International Planned Parenthood Federation, UN Food and Agricultural Organization and the UN Population Fund, Javed served on the Member Support Group of the Global Fund’s Technical Review Panel, is a Board of Directors member of the United Nations Association of the USA’s Queens Chapter, Treasurer of Toastmasters International (Queens, New York, Club) and the Founder of the Institute for Literacy Movement in Pakistan. He holds an MPHUniversity of California, Berkeley, MBA from Long Island University and MA in Social Welfare from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. Javed has worked and lived extensively in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia and is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi while having some knowledge of French, Persian and Bengali.

Seyi Ajibola
Seyi is a serial entrepreneur with interests in healthcare, consulting, IT/technology, ready meals, business journalism, advertising, sports, real estate and marine services. Seyi has extensive work experience in the breadth of the Upstream Oil and Gas business, having previously worked for Fortune 500 companies, ConocoPhillips and Devon Energy overseas and in Nigeria. He is currently the Country Manager for Nigeria and Zambia, for Canadian junior company Exile Resources Inc. He participates in a number of charities and advocacy groups in Nigeria.
Seyi has a Master of Science degree in Strategy and Leadership, on the Sloan Fellowship programme at the London Business School in 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree from the University of Lagos and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Ronit Leora
Ronit obtained a MFA in Photography, Multi-Media and Digital Imaging from the School of Visual Arts, and a MS in Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Management from Florida International University. She has a BA in English from the University of Florida and was an English Literature Scholar at Cambridge University, England. Ronit holds certifications in Facilitation, Presentation, and Innovation Training from Scient Corporation, e-Commerce & e-Customer Relationship Management Program Manager from NYU Continuing Education and a PMP ® Certification from the Project Management Institute. Ronit has 15 years’ experience creating strategic roadmaps for building brand value propositions and identifying product expansion opportunities for Fortune 50s, non-profits, consulting firms and emerging businesses. Additionally, Ronit was an Adjunct Professor at the School of Visual Arts, New School University and NYC Technical College, CUNY.

Gregory H. Stanton
Actively involved in human rights since the 60's, Gregory served in the US State Department prior to establishing Genocide Watch, where he drafted the UN Security Council resolutions that created the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the Burundi Commission of Inquiry and the Central African Arms Flow Commission. He also drafted the UN Peacekeeping Operations resolutions that helped bring about an end to the Mozambique civil war. He has degrees from Oberlin College, Harvard Divinity School, Yale Law Schooland a Doctorate in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Chicago. Aside from being the Chair of the International Association of Genocide Scholars, Gregory is also the Research Professor in Genocide Studies and Prevention at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University.

Hilary Wallis
With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida, Hilary is an internationally known artist who has traveled and worked in nearly seventy countries. Combining her journalistic background with her skill as a painter and photographer, she uses art to inform the public about urgent issues and unite communities in times of distress. Previous to founding Artfully AWARE, Hilary created art therapy programs, teaching workshops, artistic events and developed school-based curriculum promoting international education for NGO’s such as Plan, CARE, the International Rescue Committee, Americans for Informed Democracy, InterAction, the Global Campaign for Education, the National Conference for Community and Justice, Think Impact and the South Africa-based Buffelshoek Trust.

Wendy W. Hong (Founder and CEO)
Wendy’s keen interest in human behavioral studies and background in international relations and entrepreneurship led her to establish FGCNP in October of 2009. Since then, she has drawn upon her cross-sector professional experience to develop FGCNP. She is a published writer and poet. Among her writing is an analysis of civil war in Indonesia’s Aceh region, published in A Global Agenda, Issues before the 58th General Assembly of the United Nations by the United Nations Association of the United States of America. Her two major pet-peeves are when people talk about Africa as if it’s a country and say “out of the box” when they mean “outside of the box.”

Volunteers:
Naren Chapaneri (Science Research Writer)
Naren holds an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science and Masters in Criminology. He wishes to implement the knowledge ascertained during his studies in a positive way, where his interest in science encourages him to see how it can benefit society. He enjoys writing, reading and learning about various psychological and sociological literature to try and enhance his own understanding of human minds. This has confirmed his conviction that the human mind is the same despite of color or race, therefore constantly reasserting his ambitions in trying to create a more harmonious society. Naren is fluent in English and Gujarati.
